Slow Food

Have you ever come across the Slow Food movement? It’s a charity that promotes the values of good, naturally grown  food (i.e., slow! In line with the seasons), to be enjoyed without deadlines or stress, in company or even in a quiet moment by yourself, just taking time out to appreciate the wonder of food and nature (studies have shown this also helps with digestion and gut health).

So as Slow Food fits perfectly with our values, we were delighted to take part last week in the launch of Slow Food Cotswolds, a new group for this area.

It was held at and hosted by, Roots and Seeds in Cirencester, who have been our partners in educational projects for a few years now, through our sister company, Down to Earth.

Roots and Seeds are doing great things and grow their own salads and veg on-site (they also have a restaurant in Gloucester).  We’ll be collaborating with Slow Food for other events in future, so look out for announcements on Social Media.
