Fruit and Nut tree harvesting
Sorry we’ve not been posting that frequently recently, we’ve had a lot going on within our various projects. We’d love to say we’ve been getting a great tan with all this outdoor work but no….more like getting drenched:( haven’t those slugs and snails been having the best time though?! Lording it frankly! Lovely to see a bit more sun now! September is often a good month! Weather permitting this month we will be out foraging for blackberries and hawthorn berries (and anything else we can find!) for our Fruit and Nut Tree project on the following dates – children welcome with adults. Wear a sturdy pair of boots, long sleeves & gloves and bring some containers to take some harvest home for your own delicious recipes.
Tuesday 11th September at 1.30pm – canal forage – meet by the entrance of the large co-op in Cainscross.
Friday 14th at 10am – Ebley cycle track forage – meet at Sainsbury’s by the ATM cash machines.
Saturday 15th at 4pm – The Heavens forage – meet at the Crown and Scepter pub.
Tuesday 18th September at 10am – Haresfield Beacon forage – meet at the car park.
Friday 21st September at 1.30pm – Tinkley Lane, Nailsworth forage – meet at the wind turbine.

Please let us know in advance if you’re coming along, just in case the weather turns foul and we need to cancel!
