Down to earth will be running workshops in conjunction with Local Community Market Gardens – a new Community Interest Company that has been set up in the area. These will be on a variety of topics around growing, crafts, nature and food. Stay tuned for updates.

The first of these is a Willow basket weaving workshop at a site in Slad. The workshop will run from 09.30-4.3opm. Lunch will be provided. The cost is £65 per person and places are strictly limited. Sunday 18th September.

There will also be the opportunity to forage and test out the basket that you have made. All materials, lunch and tools will be provided. If you have secateurs, they might be useful to bring along. Do please note, the site is in a field and has some uneven ground. The workshop can also be hard on the hands so if you have hand issues such as arthritis, it may not be suitable for you so please think carefully before booking.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking is in the layby at the junction at Bulls Cross on the main Slad road. From here, the organisers can ferry people down or, it is a half mile walk to the site. Get your walking shoes on.
